In our fast-paced lives, it’s easy to get caught up in daily routines with barely a minute to spare for doing the things that matter most. Take self-care, for example. It’s a hot topic that keeps growing in popularity. I mean, the emotional, psychological and physical benefits are undeniable.

It’s true that we all lead busy lives, but when we neglect self-care and self-love, there’s a chance for us to experience negative effects on our emotional and mental state, physical well-being and overall health, too. When we don’t take the time to care for ourselves, we may start to feel overwhelmed and stressed out. And if we do start having these feelings, this can make us less capable of caring for and nurturing those we love.
A post on the Southern New Hampshire University website talks about how to take care of yourself by building a personalized self-care plan. And The Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley, has an article in their Greater Good Magazine that tells us Why Taking Care of Your Own Well-Being Helps Others.

Making time for everything you must do each day seems to be another issue entirely, but take my word when I tell you that carving out time for yourself, even for only 15 minutes a day, is vital. Setting aside just a few moments each day for a little ‘you-time' is the perfect way to start the uplifting and rewarding daily self-care habit.
Aside from the ones mentioned in the articles above, self-care can take on many forms and encompasses a broad range of practices aimed at nurturing our emotional, mental and physical well-being. Things like journaling, setting aside a few minutes to meditate, reading a book, or communing with nature to clear your head are also actions you can do to create some feel-good vibes.
