I don't know about you, but every year when Valentine's Day rolls around my husband asks me: "What do you want for Valentine's Day?" and I never know!! My mind goes totally blank, I sit and stare into space for a few moments and then give what's over the years become my standard answer: "I dunno. I can't really think of anything." Usually I don't even remember that I wanted anything in particular until after Valentine's Day is long over. Le Sigh.
These days, rather than waiting until the last minute and coming up blank, I've started just bookmarking beautiful and unique items that I like and then just sending him piles of links that he can browse through and pick out something nice. While this method does lack that romantic "surprise!" element, turns out it works pretty well for us.
