I just recently received a surprise custom design commission for a very lucky bride to be and it turned out so beautifully, that I just knew I had to share the finished results with you all!
The bracelet consists of a perfectly matched double-row of AAA Quality White Japanese Akoya pearls measuring 6.0-6.5mm each.
We chose a subtle Ivory overtone to complement her complexion which like me, has tinges of pink undertones. We chose Cream or Ivory because it offers the least contrast to pink undertones of the skin – Rose would enhance those undertones, making them even pinker, and the Silver overtone has undertones of blue to it, contrasting with the pink complexion which looks a bit jarring when worn.
We selected two 14K White Gold and Diamond spacers accented with 4 round diamonds for a touch of sparkle. For the 7.5-inch length, we chose to place them 1.5-inches apart in the center of the bracelet, so that when the bracelet was worn, the spacers would frame either side of the top of the wrist.
For the custom engraving, we contacted a jeweler that specializes in laser engraving – creating a monogram with this amount of detail would be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, when done by hand.
I created the monogram using the bride’s new initials of ‘SPJ’, and made sure that the ‘P’ in the center was larger than either letter to the side. I used the Monogram Title font, which turned out beautifully I think. I sent the .psd file to the engraver, who then turned the image into this beautiful engraving on our 14K White Gold Double-Strand Clasp. And here are the results!
When I posted pictures of the finished product on Facebook for everyone to see, I immediately got requests to make this a ‘regular’ PurePearls.com listing … so I did! You can now order this bracelet with your customized Monogram from the site directly! Just email me with your initials, and I’ll begin drafting the design. Click here to order!
