The latest edition of Prominent Pearl Sightings belongs to celebrity designer and stylist extraordinaire, Rachel Zoe. Looking positively Chanel-esque the other weekend at the 2nd Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Sunday, Oct 9, at Will Rogers State Park in Santa Monica, Ms. Zoe was spotted sporting a long, flowing pearl necklace interspersed with glittering charms at regular intervals, over a floor-length white maxi dress and the most gorgeous hat!

Pearl ropes and opera lengths are a fun and glamorous accessory for almost any occasion, and Rachel Zoe rocked it! It’s Halloween! One of my absolute favorite Holidays where we can all indulge a bit in our Wild Side for one fun, spooky and thrilling night. Costume balls, masquerades and trick or treating galore! This year, my daughter wants to go as Alice in Wonderland (“the Gothic kind, Mom!”) and so I’ve been doing a little bit of research about creative ideas online here and there when today I stumbled across this ethereal and striking still of Anne Hathaway as the White Queen in the new Burton-directed Alice in Wonderland, also starring Johnny Depp.

Now, I am always looking for ways to feature pearl treasures and fashion, and the costume designer has pulled off the pearl trim beautifully! The dress begins to recall some of the Victorian-era pearl excesses without being overly-indulgent, but still very beautiful and detailed. I hope you all enjoy Halloween’s Prominent Pearl Sighting!

It’s been a little while since I’ve gotten a chance to dish on the stars we all know and love and share with you some of the more creative and daring pearl jewelry designs that they’ve been spotted wearing. Well, Prominent Pearl Sightings is back, and boy, do I have a doozie for you! This July, our Prominent Pearl is Drew Barrymore (she needs no introduction!), dazzling in cool Silver-Blues all over on the red carpet during the Golden Globe Awards. She’s got the most stunning pearl cocktail ring on I’ve ever seen- it looks to be an over 16.0mm, satiny Silver-Blue, White South Seas Baroque pearl solitaire. Wowza!!! I’m posting both a full dress picture as well as a close up of the Ring for your oohhhing and aaahhhing pleasure. Enjoy!

Congratulations to our new First Lady, Michelle Obama! To kick off this glorious November have I posted one of the prettiest Prominent Pearl Sightings I’ve seen in awhile- I absolutely love this shot, which I found browsing through pictures of the Obama family on the campaign trail this last year. Here she is with her oldest girl, Malia, holding on and smiling pretty!
 
I fell in love with her strand of large, luminous White South Seas pearls- they look to be around 12-13mm and non-graduated, and positively glow next to her skin! I have noticed her predilection for gorgeous pearl necklaces and earrings over this last year, and she is rapidly becoming well-known for her trademark style: sensible, stylish and shopper-savvy- just the way we like it!

Her trendy tweed jacket and crisp white shirt ensemble combined with her large, luminous pearl ropes and studs capture a timeless Fall Style, and she pulls it off perfectly!
