Hi Everybody-

It’s always amazing to me how quickly one year turns to the next; although time remains a constant, I know that my perception of its passage increases in speed along with my age… Such is the way of it. With another year about to pass away and we begin turning to the next chapter in our lives, many of us will take a moment and pause to reflect on life, relationships and the events of the past year in that small space of time where old meets new, and the page has yet to be turned.

For the last three and a half years that I have headed the Production Office at Pure I have met more than my fair share of wonderful people and seen some stunning jewelry- indeed, it’s been an easy slice of time, working here…The customers-turned-friends, the letters, the Art, and the joy of creation: bringing the elements of Nature, design and vision together into a single finished work of art… I think of all these things, and I wanted to say Thank You. To each and every one of you- working with you has been a privilege and a pleasure, and I am very much mindful that without you, there would be no Pure, and my little world would be that much greyer.

January, 2010 is bringing with it many exciting changes- changes that Pure has needed, and changes that many of you have suggested. PurePearls.com has been sold (!!) to a very fine gentleman from Kentucky named Bruce Turner, whom I’d like to take a moment to introduce to you. A former investment banker and family man, Bruce decided to take on the many challenges of owning a small online business and I am very pleased to have him here! The transaction took place in early November, and was quite a big surprise for all involved. Amanda is doing very well- we definitely keep in touch- but she did decide that it was time for her to move on from Pure. Bruce has some exciting new ideas for the website, and we are looking forward to a total site redesign!

In the next coming months you can expect to see a new, improved website, featuring bright, crisp, new pictures and innovative new jewelry selections in addition to our long-standing Classics. A more convenient shopping experience, greater user accessibility and an emphasis on updated graphics and layout are all features that we consider top priorities- and again, I’d very much like your ideas, thoughts and critiques as we begin a new chapter for PurePearls.com! My door (or phone, or email!) is always open, and I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you as we  begin a new chapter and a brand new Year at Pure.
