Hi Everybody! We’ve decided to add a little something extra to our site after Christmas, and I’m so excited to tell you all about it… For years, we’ve been creating custom jewelry designs for anyone who asks, and let me just say it is one of the most pleasurable aspects of my job.  Custom design combines dreams, art and jewels- some of my very favorite things!  The only problem is I don’t get to keep the finished jewelry!  I can’t share it with all our clients!   To that end, I’ve decided to add a Picture Gallery to let everybody browse through our Custom designs and see what is possible in the world of pearl jewelry!  Along with amazing pictures, I will also add some details about exactly what goes into custom design from conception to the final glimmering result!  I hope that you all find this new addition to PurePearls.com as interesting and informative as I do! 

I just recently finished an amazing necklace for a certain client celebrating a 30^th Anniversary; in our rush to get the finished piece to him on time I neglected to get a photograph of the finished necklace, but I was able to get some concept shots while we emailed back and forth about what the necklace should look like.  We used a goldsmith to bezel set the 1.00ct round Swiss Blue Topaz gemstones in 14K White Gold and solder on tiny loops so that we could string the pearls to the bezel-set stones.  The result was a gorgeous strand of 8.0-9.0mm Elite Freshwater pearls interspersed with sparkling Blue Topaz, a necklace that is couture, refined and completely one of a kind.  I can’t wait to make another one!
