Hi Everbody!  

One of my very favorite customers recently asked me to create a pair of Clip-On Dangle Freshwater pearl earrings as a birthday gift for her Mother In Law, and the earrings turned out so beautifully, I thought I’d share! The top pearls are AA+ Quality, 8.0-9.0mm Pinkish-Lavender Button-Shape Freshwater pearls, and the bottom pearls are also 8.0-9.0mm, but are AAA Quality, Peach Drop-Shape baroques. I love the way this piece is proportioned and the contrast in colors really lights up the earrings- I wish I’d made a pair for me! I hope you like them too, and just so you know: I created more than a few matched pairs and set them aside for the future… Just in case.

Hi Everybody! I know I usually only do this once a month but, this Prominent Pearl Sighting was just too good to pass up! January is turning out to be a great month for politics and pearls; these amazing White South Seas Baroque pearls immediately caught and held my eyes Aretha Franklin belted out “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” during Barack Obama’s Inauguration ceremony on January 20th. Wow! They must be at least 16.0mm in diameter! Perfectly smooth, perfectly symmetrical, and perfectly Drop Dead Gorgeous!! Aretha still reigns supreme as the Queen of Soul…

Hi Everybody!

It’s that time again- Yes, Prominent Pearl Sightings are back! The adage is true: Pearls and Politics are definitely a good mix. I was watching the highlights of Hillary Clinton’s Secretary of State confirmation hearing last night, and her absolutely gorgeous multi-color South Sea and Tahitian strand of pearls hit me like a ton of bricks! She looked fabulous- poised, elegant, no-nonsense and very, very chic.

Strong, saturated hues in jewel tones (hopefully we’ll be getting more of these soon to restock our Tahitian Pearl Necklace selection that everyone liked so much), metallic luster and their large sizes 12mm (?) combined to set blogs and fashionistas a-buzzing this morning- who knows, maybe this will spark another “Pelosi Strand” wave!? In any case, the hearing went off without a hitch and the nominee is expected to be confirmed next week by an overwhelming majority vote. While I am quite sure that pearls had nothing to do with how well Hillary held her own yesterday, they sure couldn’t have hurt!
