Happy belated Easter to all- we’ve been pretty busy over here, getting the new site ready for launch, uploading all our featured products, creating new descriptions and gorgeous new photographs for all of our pearl jewelry… In the process we decided to add a smaller, more affordable Hanadama size- 7.0-7.5mm, which will be featured on the new site along with our traditional sizes in the Hanadama Pearl Collection. With prices starting at under $2,000.00 for a princess length necklace, we are firm in our commitment to continue offering the best deals for the most beautiful pearls around!

 

As I’m sure you all know, Hanadama pearls are among the very finest Akoya pearls- renowned the world over for their superior luster, brilliance, nacre thickness and gorgeous overtones. Each 18-inch necklace comes with it’s own Gemological Report from the famed Pearl Science Laboratory in Tokyo, Japan, along with our GIA-Graduate Prepared Appraisal. We are looking excitedly towards the near future when we’ll be able to expand on this collection further- hopefully to include non-treated, natural-color Hanas soon! For the last three and a half years that I have headed the Production Office at Pure I have met more than my fair share of wonderful people and seen some stunning jewelry- indeed, it’s been an easy slice of time, working here! The customers-turned-friends, the letters, the Art, and the joy of creation: bringing the elements of Nature, design and vision together into a single finished work of art! I think of all these things, and I wanted to say Thank You. To each and every one of you- working with you has been a privilege and a pleasure, and I am very much mindful that without you, there would be no Pure, and my little world would be that much greyer.

January, 2010 is bringing with it many exciting changes- changes that Pure has needed, and changes that many of you have suggested. PurePearls.com has been sold (!!) to a very fine gentleman from Kentucky named Bruce Turner, whom I’d like to take a moment to introduce to you. A former investment banker and family man, Bruce decided to take on the many challenges of owning a small online business and I am very pleased to have him here! The transaction took place in early November, and was quite a big surprise for all involved. Amanda is doing very well- we definitely keep in touch- but she did decide that it was time for her to move on from Pure. Bruce has some exciting new ideas for the website, and we are looking forward to a total site redesign!

In the next coming months you can expect to see a new, improved website, featuring bright, crisp, new pictures and innovative new jewelry selections in addition to our long-standing classics. A more convenient shopping experience, greater user accessibility and an emphasis on updated graphics and layout are all features that we consider top priorities- and again, I’d very much like your ideas, thoughts and critiques as we begin a new chapter for PurePearls.com! My door (or phone, or email!) is always open, and I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you as we begin a new chapter and a brand new Year at Pure.
