Hi Everybody!

It’s that time again- Yes, Prominent Pearl Sightings are back! The adage is true: Pearls and Politics are definitely a good mix. I was watching the highlights of Hillary Clinton’s Secretary of State confirmation hearing last night, and her absolutely gorgeous multi-color South Sea and Tahitian strand of pearls hit me like a ton of bricks! She looked fabulous- poised, elegant, no-nonsense and very, very chic.

Strong, saturated hues in jewel tones (hopefully we’ll be getting more of these soon to restock our Tahitian Pearl Necklace selection that everyone liked so much), metallic luster and their large sizes 12mm (?) combined to set blogs and fashionistas a-buzzing this morning- who knows, maybe this will spark another “Pelosi Strand” wave!? In any case, the hearing went off without a hitch and the nominee is expected to be confirmed next week by an overwhelming majority vote. While I am quite sure that pearls had nothing to do with how well Hillary held her own yesterday, they sure couldn’t have hurt!
